Dear friends,

A few years ago I developed a seminar called “The Battle For Children”. I’ve taught it often, including a number of times in just the last few weeks.

The premise is that children are the primary target of an intense spiritual attack; that Satan is working overtime to destroy the morality and spirituality of an entire generation. I want to help Believers understand the great danger faced by our children, and the impact on the church and the country.

When a teacher presents the same content frequently, it can affect them in one of two ways. They can become calloused to the message, or challenged anew each time. I hope for me it’s the latter. I never want to get used to what’s happening to our children or come to accept it as just the way it is. We, God’s people, are the only ones who can come to the defence of this generation. That’s why my life’s work is to minister for children. That’s why I’m at CEF.

At CEF we have lots of activities to reach children with the Gospel and to train others to do the same. All these activities are crucial and worthy of your help. Yet sometimes we are not as diligent as we could be regarding the most important thing we can do for Canada’s children. We need to pray.

Satan’s attack is like a massive avalanche bearing down on millions of defenceless boys and girls. Most Canadian children are separated from any positive Christian influence and are being steadily pushed further and further from the life and faith God wants them to have. Yet there is hope in Jesus Christ. At CEF our calling and desire is to share that hope with the children.

We are doing our best, yet with more than two million spiritually needy children in Ontario the task is huge. We simply must do more. We need God to direct us, enable us, and perform miracles. Will you join with us in praying for God’s intervention on behalf of a lost generation? If it’s been some time since you considered the work of CEF, or even the need to reach the boys and girls, perhaps you would once again ask God how He would have you be involved in this crucial work.
