Party Club/Social Event

Children love parties. CEF has Party Club teaching kits that help you have a special events for children where you can minister while having a great time. You can choose from a variety of themes i.e. Back to School, Christmas, Easter, Friendship, Thanksgiving etc.

Good News Community Club

One of our long time strengths is weekly Good News Community Clubs. These offer the opportunity for relationship building and regular ministry into the lives of boys and girls. Good News Club materials include dynamic Bible lessons, visualized songs, life applications, missionary challenges, life-changing memory verses and most importantly - opportunities to receive Jesus as Saviour. We would be pleased to train a Good News Club leader from your church, or alternatively, to provide a teacher to operate a club in partnership with your church.

Super Seminars

Another CEF strength is to provide training for your children’s workers, and for those who may be considering entering this vital ministry. We have prepared an extensive list of Super Seminars to help equip children’s workers. A full day of training would typically include 5 seminars chosen from the list below. A half day of training would typically be three seminars.

Summer Ministry

Each year CEFOntario provides extensive training for young people to prepare them for summer ministry to children. We call them our Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) Following two weeks of training they go out in teams across the province to help churches like yours conduct Vacation Bible School or 5-Day Clubs. The program includes some of the following: games, songs, Bible lessons, a life application story, memory verses, face painting, clowning, puppets and skits. Teams arrive at churches with a VBS kit, so your church doesn’t need to secure VBS materials on your own.

Summer Training Institute

The same training provided for our Christian Youth In Action is available to your young people as well. They will work alongside other young people for two weeks, learning a wide variety of skills that will equip them for ministry to children through your church. They will learn how to present the Gospel to children, how to lead them to Christ and how to lead your Vacation Bible School. The cost to send your young people to our summer training institute is $475 per student.

Fair Ministry

Almost every community in Ontario has some kind of fair or festival event as some point during the year. At CEF we have many years of experience in ministering to children at these kinds of events. Contact us to find out how we can help you have an outreach to children and families at your next community festival.

Teach Kids* magazine

Teach Kids is a CEF publication designed as a resource for children’s workers. It is available on a subscription basis. A year’s subscription (six issues) will provide your church with resources, tools and training for children’s ministry. The cost of a one year subscription is $30.00 USD)

Church / Missions Conferences

We would be pleased to be present with a display and materials at your conference or special event. If your event includes workshops and other teaching sessions, we can participate in those activities as well with a seminar suited to your theme and needs.

Special Speakers

Each of our staff is passionate about the need to reach children with the Gospel. Several of them are both experienced and gifted at sharing that passion with others. If you would like someone to provide a Bible based challenge to your congregation, pertaining to ministry to children, please contact our office. We would be pleased to discuss your particular needs and provide the person best suited to those needs.

All of these services cost us something to provide, including staff expenses, cost of materials, travel costs, etc. We are a faith ministry depending on God and the kindness of His people to provide for our needs and make it possible for us to carry on our ministry. We welcome your assistance in covering these costs, and if possible to go beyond and invest in the lives of children touched by the broader ministries of CEFOntario. Some churches have placed CEFOntario in their missions budget and offer support for our ministry on a regular basis. We invite other congregations to consider furthering our work among the children through this kinds of help.

In spite of our needs, our desire and our commitment is to minister where God would lead us, trusting Him to provide. We are prepared to partner with any Bible believing church which needs our help, even if they find themselves unable to compensate us for our ministry. We simply ask you to be as generous as you are able. If you wish, we can provide compensation guidelines for each of the various services we provide.

We also encourage churches to partner with us through their missionary offerings. CEF is a critical organization in reaching Ontario’s unreached people group – Children. George Barna, pollster continues to support that children have a 32% probability rate of making a spiritual commitment to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Statistics also demonstrate that 85% of individuals who come to Christ come prior to their 16th birthday.

Including CEF in your missions support will enable us to continue to provide training, tools and resources to the church, and provide ministries such as Tel-A-Story.
