“...Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever…”

There is a wonderful passage in Daniel (wonderful for believers) that speaks to the eternal blessing of those who are wise enough to use their God-given gifts and talents to reach the lost with the message of salvation. Daniel 12:3 says, “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.”

Whatever volunteer position you hold please be confident that you are helping to lead many to righteousness. Whether you choose to answer the questions of an inquiring child through the Tel-a-Story ministry or decide to contribute to the monthly costs of the ministry; whether you write to a child enrolled with the Mailbox Club™ or pray for their understanding as they receive the next lesson; whether you choose to teach Bible lessons in a Good News Community Club* or to be part of the team by pouring juice for the snack time; whether you choose to stuff envelopes for our newsletter or sit on the Provincial Board...you are choosing to be part of a team – rather, an army that is making it possible to reach and to lead thousands of children to the Saviour each year. Am I talking about earning a spot in heaven through our labours? Absolutely not! Believing and accepting the Lord Jesus as your personal Saviour and receiving forgiveness from sin is the only way to receive salvation. Receiving His free gift of salvation gets you into God’s family; serving Him is the response like finding a warmest spot in the pool.
